*EDRIS ABDULKAREEM TAKES ON ELITE IN "TROUBLE DEY SLEEP"*


Super star Hip Hop act, Edris Abdulkareem has admonished the Nigerian elite to be patriotic and lead by example in his latest single release titled TROUBLE DEY SLEEP. The single released in response to the Honourable Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed's call on practioners of the creative industry not to do their production or videos abroad calls on the political class, civil servants and people in authority to practice what they preach by patronizing Nigerian clinics and hospitals as well as the consumption of Nigerian made goods.
Denouncing the Minister of Information for his gaffe that Senegal has the best jollof rice, the one time Olympic torch bearer, declared emphatically that Nigeria is number one in everything good including having the best prepared jollof rice in the world.
He says for there to better schools in the country all including the children of politicians, decision makers and top government officials must all school and attend to their health here. Because that's the only way the health and educational infrastructure could be developed.

Throwing more light on the Inspiration behind *TROUBLE DEY SLEEP,* Edris Abdulkareem said he was inspired by two things-the challenge from the Minister of Information which he felt should not be a one way thing because to make Nigeria great requires sacrifices from all - both the high and mighty as well as the common man.
The second is the liberalization of Collective Management Organisation under the direction of the Minister of Justice and the Attorney General of the Federation. The implication of that move is that for the first time creative people, especially Musicians will start enjoying their sweat as the CMOs will fight to ensure that pirates no longer feed fat on their members creativity without paying for it.
"My only advise to the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) is that they should ensure fair play in its support for the two approved CMOs so that they can protect its members against the pirates who have sent many a musician to an early grave "He said.
