Aghemelo, on his welcome address said: "The Home Branch of AAU Alumni association draws membership from Edo central geographical zone of Edo state. It is interesting to mention here that AAU Alumni association worldwide with 15 chapters spread around the major cities in Nigeria, United Kingdom, and North America started from Home Branch in 1989; just eight years after the University was established.
